The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
